You will take the bus marked “Puerto Viejo”, but Cahuita is the stop BEFORE the final destination. It’s about 20 minutes before Puerto Viejo. Stay awake or tell the driver to shout “Cahuita!”.

“Mae, the bus station in Cahuita is tiny but perfect. It drops you right next to the entrance of the National Park (which is donation-based, by the way!). It’s super chill here, way quieter than Puerto Viejo. Watch out for sloths crossing the road!”
